Jan 2017 Meet Writeup

First meetup of 2017 after a month off during December and what a collection of beers people brought! As often happens I forgot my notepad so details might be short on some beers. Welcome New People James (@j616s) and Lucy joined us this month. Lucy already has been homebrewing wines for sometime. She likes to make wines with elderberries, parsnips and beetroot. They started brewing beer not so long back using kit beers to start with. Now venturing onto liquid malt and hop kits with ideas to all grain soon. Welcome to the group and do bring some of that...

Nov 2016 Meet Writeup

A huge array of beers this month. Some intentionally bad, some intentionally soured, some hoppy, some dark, some wonderfully weird and some spiced! We had the lot. A well balanced hoppy 5.6% IPA with Cascade, Summit, Mosaic and Centennial hops! We would all be happy to pay for this at a bar. Colin managed to pop in for a flying visit. Hes hasn't brewed...

If you have any additional questions please do feel free to ask me on twitter @craigcsruk or in the comments section below. You may notice that I...

He started homebrewing over 3 years ago but is just getting back into brewing after a year off back packing. Hes a stainless steel welder by trade so instantly became everyone's best friend. Chris brought along an all grain sour/bretted porter. On the topic of beer categories it was recommended that this one could be entered as an American wild ale. Introduction to Beer Judging and mini IPA...

May 2016 Meet Writeup

This month we were at @CafeBeermoth and we had a couple of new members join us. I must say its been positive to see so many new members over the past few months. After sampling our homebrew we again cracked open some of the finest bottles @CafeBeermoth have to offer. Its becoming a nice habit of ours. As always if anything is missed we can only apologies as beer was consumed whilst writing notes. Welcome Julian and Keith On Sunday we welcomed Julian and Keith. Seems like both of them had heard of us and been intending to come down...
